Restaurant/places to eat in Novotel Lima San Isidro
Given its proximity to San Isidro’s business center, this place caters to business travelers, which during my stay was buzzing with them and their events. So the lobby felt like a busy airport. As a vacationer I miss to start with, a bell boy who could help with luggage during check in. There are what looks like security guards but it is not their duty to help carry luggage or bring it up to one’s room. That responsibility falls to whoever is at the front desk, provided they have the time to help. Even when I had packages delivered I had to call reception to have them delivered to my room, which is done by whoever answers the phone, which I find odd and taxing to the staff. The toilet is in a separate room of its own, which is wonderful. A great addition was the barber shop in the lobby. Sunday morning the activity in the lobby increased even more, as one of their meeting salons doubles as a meeting place for the congregation of a church founded by a local soccer player. It attracts a throng of characters of all ages. As a rule I avoid restaurants at hotels. Within walking distance one can find great places to eat.

This Novotel is a good choice in terms of value for money in Lima. It is a little far from lively neighbourhoods like Barranco and Miraflores. Though we walked to it from Mirafloers in like 40 minutes, not everyone can. This is mostly a business district but clean, safe and calm. The famous Astrid & Gaston restaurant is just around the corner which was a plus to me. Staff very helpful, they gave us some small perks as well. They have a small pool - really small so just for practice - fresh, airy interiors, rooms are not too big but enough and beds are comfy. Breakfast was sumptuous. If this neighbourhood is convenient for you, I recommend it.

Quiet area. Modern but inviting. Room was efficient but not too big or small. Bed was comfortable and large. Loved the separate water closet/bidet and bath. Thank for for a small window that opens but is safe for small children as it opens in a way one could not go out of it. Close to some dining and beautiful parks. Very clean. Kind service when we asked for it. The pool is adequate but nothing fancy. Indoor pools in Lima are a rare find! Next time I’d like to try the spa and sauna or salon.

The room was big, clean and modern. There was a nespresso machine in the room which I really appreciate. Breakfast is good and has lots of selection but there was no coffee machine in the breakfast room which was a disappointment. Even an Ibis Styles hotel in Lima has recently installed a coffee machine in the breakfast room.

Excellent location, super friendly and helpful staff. They never hesitated to help out and answer any and all of our questions. I would definitely consider staying there again! The pool was perfect! The rooms had all the amenities needed and bed were extremely comfy! Very clean and bright. Absolutely no complaints!
